A gift from 30 million years ago

On the north coast of Wakamatsu, there is a place where a 30million years old layer of rock called the " Ashiya Strata " is exposed. In the 1980s, fossils of the Yamato whale a type of baleen whale were discovered, and you can touch burrow fossils and bivalve fossils on the shoreline.
